    It's clear given the recent poll covered on CNN today that it's going to take a lot for the Big Three to reclaim the trust and faith of the American driving consumer any time soon. Over 60 percent surveyed said that they oppose any government assistance to bail out the auto industry. While all the talk and opinion has mostly centered on the financial turmoil, Congressional and automotive leaders need to be more aware of the innovation taking place that has the ability to be give the industry what it needs to survive.   • Nagoya Day One: Hello Japan!

    The Scuderi Group Friday for the first time publicly introduced its breakthrough Scuderi Engine and its air-hybrid capabilities to the Japanese automotive market as part of the Nagoya Eco Clean Car Fair'08. Held in what is considered to be the "Detroit of Japan," the event is anticipated to draw up to 30,000 Japanese automotive engineers and other "green" car professionals through the weekend.     The second day of the Nagoya Eco Clean Car Fair brought more exposure to the new technologies that the automotive industry is looking at to be the next generation of vehicles. One such vehicle on display this weekend in Nagoya is the natural gas-powered car.     The Formula III HBH Racing crew participated in the recent Neuburg Classic automotive event in Germany and along the way helped promote the Scuderi Air-Hybrid Technology. Situated along Gasoline Alley, the Renault Formula III 3000 Series team presented videos and other technical information about the split-cycle engine Over 30,000 car and engine enthusiasts watched as they strolled the grounds and reviewed the cars.
